👋 Hi, I'm Connor - the pastor at Upstate Community.
My family and I moved to Boiling Springs in 2022 to help people live intentionally in the Upstate. ​

A relationship with Jesus has completely transformed my life, and I am passionate about planting a church that helps more people experience Jesus own their own lives.

I envision Upstate Community Church equipping everyday missionaries to share the story of Jesus in the ares where they:

📖 What We Believe

The Gospel: The Gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of God the Father where He rules, reigns, and will return to make all things new. (Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Corinthians 2:2, 15:1-11; 2 Thessalonians 2:14)

God: We believe in one God who eternally exists in three persons. He is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, perfectly holy, sovereign, and good. (Matthew 28:19; Mark 1:9-11; John 14:25-26)

God’s Word: We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It’s completely true and contains all we need in order to know and walk with God and experience real life. (2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119)

Creation: We believe that God created the universe for His glory, and that He uniquely created human beings, male and female, in His own image to expand His good and perfect Kingdom to the ends from Eden until it filled the Earth. (Isaiah 43:7; Psalm 19:10; Genesis 1:26-31)

The Fall: Because of the Fall, the image of God in people is distorted but not lost. All people have disobeyed God willfully through sin; thus inheriting both physical and spiritual death and the need for salvation. (Genesis 3; Genesis 6:5; Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:10-11; Romans 8:7-8; John 8:34; Romans 7:18, 8:8; Ephesians 2:1-3; Hebrews 11:6)

Jesus: We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He is fully man and fully God, the one and only Lord and Savior, who died for our sins and was raised on the third day.

Salvation: We believe that salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ. It is a free gift for all who repent and believe; it’s impossible to earn, but it will completely transform our life and eternity.(John 6:37-39, 10:27-30, 3:36; Romans 8:1, 28-30; Ephesians 1:13-14; Philippians 1:6; Hebrews 3:14)

Restoration: Living as salt in a world that is decaying and light in a world that is dark, we should neither withdraw into seclusion from the world, nor become indistinguishable from it. We are to do good and glorify God by being part of God’s restoration of His creation. (Jeremiah 29:7; Romans 12:2; Ephesians 2:10; Hebrews 10:14)

The Church - We believe in the Church. God designed His people to be gathered into churches who care for each other, grow more like Jesus, and make disciples among all nations.(Acts 2:42- 47; Ephesians 5:22-23, Hebrews 10:25)
