Giving is an extension of who God is. When we give, we resemble the heart of Jesus - who gave everything for us. Your giving to Upstate Community Church makes a kingdom impact to help people live intentionally in Jesus.

We give because God gave first. Giving of our tithes and offerings is our response to His grace and a reflection of our trust in Him. Every gift helps people in our community and beyond experience the life-changing hope of Jesus. When we put God first in our finances, we discover the freedom, joy, and purpose that come from living the good life His way.
A tithe literally means “a tenth.” It’s the first 10% of your income that is returned to God through the local church. The tithe is an act of obedience and trust of putting God first in your finances (Malachi 3:10, Proverbs 3:9). Tithing is a biblical principle consistent throughout the bible as the standard baseline for giving. It represents giving back to God what already belongs to Him and supports the ongoing ministry and mission of the church.
An offering is any giving beyond the tithe. It is a freewill gift given out of gratitude, generosity, and love for God. Offerings are not required amounts but expressions of worship and faith (2 Corinthians 9:7). They can support missions, outreach, building projects, benevolence, or other special needs as the Spirit leads.
Stewardship is recognizing that everything we have belongs to God and we’re simply managing it for His glory. It’s about using our time, talents, and resources wisely to honor Him and make an eternal impact. True stewardship begins when we trust God first and live with open hands.
