Day 1: God With Us—From the Beginning

Scripture:"The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’” —Matthew 1:23

"In the beginning, the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it." —John 1:1-5

Devotional:From the very beginning, God’s plan was to dwell with His people. Jesus, called Immanuel, is the fulfillment of this promise. He is the Word who existed before time began, the Light that pierces the darkness. As you prepare your heart for Christmas, reflect on how Jesus has brought His light into your life. Think about moments when His presence has made a difference in your struggles or joys, and thank Him for always being with you.
